Will Grayson, Will Grayson by John GreenMy rating: 5 of 5 stars
You have to love a book that starts out by disproving the adage "You can pick your friends and you can pick your nose, but you can't pick your friends nose."
John Green and David Levithan tell this story in alternating chapters. All of the odd chapters are told by John Green's Will Grayson. The even chapters bring us David Levithan's Will Grayson. The Will Graysons live in different suburbs of Chicago. Their lives are wholly unrelated until a chance meeting in a Chicago porn shop (really, it's not as "bad" as it sounds!)
I love the way that this book is set up. We see the WGs lives before they meet, at the moment that their paths cross, and the paths their lives take after their meeting. With humor and wit Green and Levithan tell an authentic and entertaining tale of how chance encounters can change and shape our lives.
This novel just affirms my love for John Green's writing. David Levithan is pretty fabulous too :)
