***The “About the Book” and “My Thoughts” sections both contain spoilers for book one. It’s kind of impossible not to!***

About the Book: It’s been three years since the devastating accident … three years since Mia walked out of Adam’s life forever.

Now living on opposite coasts, Mia is Julliard’s rising star and Adam is LA tabloid fodder, thanks to his new rock star status and celebrity girlfriend. When Adam gets stuck in New York by himself, chance brings the couple together again, for one last night. As they explore the city that has become Mia’s home, Adam and Mia revisit the past and open their hearts to the future – and each other.
Told from Adam’s point of view in the spare, lyrical prose that defined If I StayWhere She Went explores the devastation of grief, the promise of new hope, and the flame of rekindled romance.

My Thoughts: Oh wow. After reading (and lovingIf I Stay I was both thrilled and apprehensive about Where She Went. On one hand I was leery because the first book had me so emotional and I didn’t know if an “after” book could do that.  On the other hand… Adam. Oh you dear sweet boy you. How could I not want to read more about/from him? I needn’t have worried. Where She Went totally delivers. While I wasn’t the sobbing mess of tears I was for If I Stay I was still very invested in the story and the characters. I absolutely adored it.

I loved that this book was a hot mess. Clearly I don’t mean that in a bad way. I mean… jeez, with all the events and emotions and memories that arise in book one there is no way book two could start with everything perfect and still be an authentic story. I appreciated that it was set a couple years later with flashbacks interspersed. It made the events that occur more real and lasting to me. I also loved that the present day events took place (for the most part) over a day. It’s amazing how much can change in 24 hours. I think this time frame is really appropriate for the intensity of Mia and Adam’s story.

Speaking of Adam… I was thrilled to get this book from his point of view (and not just because I have a book crush on him!) The events from book one were so horrifying and heartbreaking. The main impact is obviously on Mia but Adam is affected as well. He was such a part of Mia’s life and therefore a part of her family too. His world was drastically altered by the events and the choices Mia made. My heart just went out to him through the whole story. He’s not perfect but he tried so hard to do what was right. Even with his issues I think he is a man of integrity and that is always hot. ***sigh*** I just loves him. This song always pops in to my head when I think of him. ***sigh***

Where She Went had my heart from page one. The messages of hope, redemption, and second chances were just so beautiful and well carried out. If you’ve not read it yet you are truly missing out.

I cant wait to have my own copy. However I am not that into If I Stay, I’d love to read this book.

Another positive review about Where She Went.

I never thought that Adam would fall that deep to Mia.

Oh, I really want to read this! Unfortunately, I probably won’t get until closer to the end of the month. IF I STAY was just so, so good and I adored Adam (who doesn’t?). Thanks for the great review!

I’m going to start with If I stay and Where She Went This Weekend – I’m currently trying to finish the Summer books by Jenny Han before my egalley of the last one goes caput – but I’m so very excited for this one.

🙂 And I like the boy point of view, 😉 I tend to stick to girl-pov, so reading from a boy’s eyes will be a nice change for me.
